Che ora è? – What time is it?

Mi scusi, mi può dire che ora è? – Excuse me, what time is it? (formal)

Scusa, che ora è? – Excuse me, what time is it? ( informal)

Ha mica l’ora? – Do you by any chance have the time? (fairly formal)

Certo. Sono le quattro – Of course. It’s four o’clock.

Sono le tre e mezza – It’s half past three.

E’ l’una in punto – It’s exactly one o’clock

Sono le due e un quarto – It’s quarter past two.

Certo. Sono cinque alle cinque – Sure. It’s five to five.

E’ l’una e mezza – It’s half past one.

Sono le cinque meno un quarto – It’s quarter to five.

Si. Sono venti alle sette – Yes. It’s twenty to seven.

E’ mezzogiorno – It’s midday.

E’ mezzanotte – It’s midnight.

No mi dispiace, non ho l’orologio – No I’m sorry. I don’t have a watch.
